
Photo: GETTY Children are now more likely to look at websites and emails for their leisure reading than pick up a book, according to the survey of their reading habits. Little more than four in 10 boys (42 per cent) regularly open the pages of a work of fiction, while among girls the proportion is only marginally higher, at 48 per cent. Almost six in 10 boys and girls read websites more than once a month (57 per cent), followed by emails (52 per cent) and blogs or social networking sites (49 cent).
