Advertisement 'Spot-fix three' will miss rest of tour, says team manager Saeed The three Pakistan cricketers accused of corruption will miss the rest of their tour of England, according to team manager Yawar Saeed.Salman Butt, Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Amir are at the centre of a police investigation into allegations Asif and Amir deliberately bowled no-balls. Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Ijaz Butt said on Wednesday that the players could still play some part in the tour. But Saeed said: "I decided to leave them out. They've not been suspended." England and Wales Cricket Board chairman Giles Clarke said: "I welcome the decision not to involve the three players under investigation in the rest of the series. "The remaining matches will be played in the most competitive spirit possible." Pakistan Test captain Salman Butt and fast bowlers Asif and Amir are in London attending a PCB inquiry headed by Ijaz Butt into events during the fourth Test between England and Pakistan at Lord's.[Read more...]
